ABOUT US
The Laboratory of Territorial Analysis (LAT): in Spanish – ‘El Laboratorio de Análisis Territorial’ of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Chile has an academic-professional character. Its mission includes the concept of integrated and sustainable management of natural resources and environmental systems in the problem of planning and territorial management carried out by the various public and private institutions. This stems from the development and application of new methodologies and techniques that constitute real support for decision-making and offers solutions to problems related to management tasks.
PROJECTS
The research projects in which the Territorial Analysis Laboratory (LAT) has been involved, both in its formulation and in its development, mainly relate to the analysis and planning of the territory and management of natural resources. Some products generated from these projects correspond to support systems for decision-making, support in the installation of skills for water resource management and territorial planning tools; interacting with government institutions, private entities and indigenous and/or rural communities.
